Space Dog

  1. That dog was totally thinking that the earth was the biggest ball it has ever seen.

  2. What was the dog doing out there? And why was he all alone? Has he been left behind to die an agonizing death alone in outer space? So many questions and so many, many, cruel answers. Worst of all is that Santa just shoots him a smile and leaves him there. Christmas is ruined, thanks japan.

    1. In japan it is Christmas whenever shiny stuff falls from the sky. This time it was presumably the remnants of the Spacedogs spaceship.

  5. Now I'm willing to overlook a lot of things, but this is just one step too far. Can someone please explain Santa Claus' propulsion system?

  7. Santa harvests the biomemetic energy of children's gratitude and uses it to create a stable anti-higgs field which distorts spacetime locally, creating gravitational waves which quickly die out several meters away from where it's produced. By using Fourier composition anti-symmetrically around his sled, he creates a local sloping spacetime - in essence a local gravity field - causing him to perpetually 'fall' inward (this is how the "tantalus drive" in the video game series Mass Effect works). Other Fourier additions of the produced gravitational waves allow for time dilatation and for his bag to carry enough toys for all children of earth. The sparkles which trail his sled are gravitational lens effects caused by spacetime eddies produced by the finite nature of the Fourier addition.

tl;dr mass effect fields powered by children's happiness.

  8. So, even in Japanese commercials they have random shots of token black people.

  9. This is actually one of a series of commercials for the cell phone company Softbank. The black gentleman is Dante Carver, a famous actor in Japan and plays the brother for the family. (The dog plays the father.)
    Here's the whole family: http://yonasu.com/wp-content/uploads/500x_softbank-1.jpeg

The Softbank "Otosan" commercials are awesome. You can find a bunch of them on youtube.
