  7. There are plenty of good Japanese films! One of my favorites is Depatures. It's directed by Takita, and beautifully demonstrates the rituals for the deceased, as well as the stigmas against those who conduct the cleansing ritual.

I adore Japanese B movies too though. =D I love Robogeisha and The Machine Girl.

  15. Funny story about this movie (which is as weird as it looks).

I was at an anime convention last year and I won two tickets to go and see the Australian premiere of this movie, which would be followed by a Q&A session with the director.

So here I am, its about 2 in the morning and the film has just finished and im still trying to wrap my head around what the hell I just watched, when the director comes bursting into the theater wearing nothing but a Mawashi (the thong-like things sumo wrestlers wear), screaming at the top of his lungs and swinging around the prop zombie fetus that was used in the movie.

He then proceeded to deliver the Q&A dressed as such, with the fetus perched on his head.
