Egg Log
You have got to love the efficiency of Japan. Practicality above all else, even if that means you have to cut your egg slices out of a horrendous molded egg tube.

Do you have a video
you'd like to see on WTFJS?
Email us a link, or just say hi at
Ok, cookie dough and meat I can understand; but eggs? Ewww.
ReplyDeleteDelicious protein. Now all they need to do is add in the salt and pepper. Or how about a PICKLED egg-log?
ReplyDeleteThey have those here too, or at least the used to. Fast food restaurants used them.
ReplyDeleteWhat is so surprising, isn't this what they have been using in the airline industry for years.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever had an egg McMuffin? McDonald's uses the same thing.
ReplyDeleteThey showed this in "Clerks II" hilariously disgusting
ReplyDeleteSorry this is not weird enough ... try again.
ReplyDeletehaha its actually pretty convenient!
ReplyDeleteI'll have a tube of egg, please...
ReplyDeleteHow ?!?!?
ReplyDeletehaha havn't seen them in a while. My elementary school canteen bought them once, but our parents wern't impressed.
ReplyDeleteAdmittedly it was a rather poor choice for a school in an italian village where there were more hens than kids O_o'
Contrary to what a previous poster says, McDonald's don't use those.
ReplyDeleteWell, they don't in the UK, at least.
Ew my roommate has these it is so gross. You don't even have to refrigerate it!
ReplyDeleteWTFJS WHERE HAVE YOU GONE??
ReplyDeleteThe funniest part of Frederick Wiseman's documentary Meat involves this product.
ReplyDeleteI woudent touch that thing even if im on a deserted island with no food !!
ReplyDeleteOnly god knows whats in there !
what the FUCK japan?!
ReplyDeleteMy question: HOW did they do it?
ReplyDeleteIt certainly does look like something I'd expect to find in a fast food restaurant that does egg muffins on the menu. Certainly saves on cracking eggs perhaps. And yes, they used these in Clerks II.
ReplyDeleteWhat are they called? I WANT HARD.
ReplyDeleteI wanna see the chicken that made that possible
ReplyDeleteActually, Egg McMuffin's are made out of real eggs. I worked at Mc Donald's before. They crack an egg into a metal ring on the grill. It's actually the only thing on the breakfast menu that contains an actual egg. :P
